EL PASO — News of the decision to close the Hostess Company has started a stampede for Twinkies, Ho-Ho's and all the other famous Hostess products.
Customers prepared for what may be the end of the 82-year road for Hostess.
All across the country, store shelves have all been stripped of the iconic American snacks, including El Paso.
Jesus Fernandez of El Paso, submitted the photo above, which shows the Twinkie shortage at the Albertson's Store in West El Paso.
Websites like eBay and Amazon were overrun with Hostess products for sale. Most were listed at near retail price, while others, like a box of Twinkies, were listed as high as $100.
