EL PASO — While some families may have leftovers, others are struggling to even get a holiday meal.
Operation Hope plans to hand out Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of family's this weekend. The organization is teaming up with Destiny Christian Church to give Thanksgiving meals to those in need at two separate locations.
"We see a great need many people respond and say I would not have had a holiday meal without this," Angel Gomez said. "It's very gratifying because of many people coming together and there having a great director of efficiently distributing the food it makes a bigger impact and we're able to touch many more families."
The event was scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 17 at 9 a.m. at the Vista Ysleta Methodist Church at 11860 Rojas and Destiny Family Christian Church at 9615 Dyer.
