EL PASO — The City of El Paso is raising awareness for autism.
The city's "All for Autism" event was held at Camino Real Hotel Tuesday morning, meant to provide funds, education and community awareness.
News Channel 9 spoke with David Toulet-Crump, who has not let autism control his life.
"Autism is not only a thing that should be taken seriously but it's also something that shouldn't be too too concerned about because you know, they're just people like us," he said.
The Autism Society of El Paso took part in the event.
The organization is trying to raise funds to bring a research facility to El Paso.
The group also has meetings every month to help families dealing with autism.
