Iris Herrera may be small in stature, but what she lacks in size, she makes up for with a powerful throwing arm and determination to show that a girl can not only play a boys sport, but be one of the best on the team.
The 8th grader at Ysleta Middle School was promoted from third string to starter in the 4th game of the year and played well enough to hold onto the spot going 1-2 and throwing five touchdown passes. News Channel 9's Aaron Rich has her story.
