LAS CRUCES — It seemingly appeared that the Doña Ana County Bureau of Elections had begun posting results on their webpage Friday afternoon, but county leaders say it was a technical error instead.
Unofficial numbers could be seen for the Presidential race, the U.S. Senate race between Martin Heinrich and Heather Wilson, State Rep. District 33 race between Bill McCamley and Angelina P. Carver, and the County Clerk race between Lynn Ellins and Dolores Lucero Connor.
Bureau of Elections Supervisor Jennifer Garcia Kozlowski says the numbers were "arbitrary", chosen to test the results website before election day.
County spokesman, Jess Williams, assured NewsChannel 9 that the website is no longer "live".
We are checking with the New Mexico Secretary of State's office to see if this mishap will have an effect on the county elections.
