EL PASO — El Paso Electric will be sending crews to New York City, according to Teresa Souza, spokesperson for El Paso Electric.
A total of 28 El Paso Electric employees were scheduled to leave at 7:30 a.m. Friday to help restore power following Hurricane Sandy. They will assist Consolidated Edison (ConEdison) restore power to its customers. ConEdison of New York provides electric service to approximately 3.3 million customers.
EPE was orignally scheduled to assist Baltimore victims but plans were changed.
