The environment took center stage today at the 12th Annual Environmental Summit in El Paso.
Political leaders, businesses, and non-profits all sat down to discuss ways to tackle growing environmental problems in the community. Topics included the development of neighborhood watch programs to fight illegal dumping, the impact of city ordinances prohibiting the use of plastic bags, and the city's dwindling water supply. Dozens of students also attended the summit and they inspired many of the adults.
More than four hundred people from Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico attended today's summit.
