The U.S. Congress has decided to give people four more months to prepare for the transition to digital television broadcasting.
The House voted this afternoon to postpone the switch until June 12. The decision was based on concerns that more than 6.5 million Americans with older television sets would not be ready for the original scheduled switch, which was slated for February 17.
The bill is now headed to President Barack Obama where he is expected to sign it.
