- Devin Patterson established a UTEP high with 45 yards receiving tonight. His previous best was 19 yards versus NM State on Sept. 15.

- Drew Thomas logged the first double-digit tackle game of his career with 12 stops. His previous career-high was eight stops at Wisconsin on Sept. 22.
- The 30-yard interception return for a TD by Ja’Gared Davis in the second quarter was the first by an opposing player since Tulsa’s Shawn Jackson reached the end zone on a 34-yard return last season in the Sun Bowl.
- UTEP yielded a season-low 372 yards to the Mustangs. It marked the fewest yards surrendered by the Miner defense since Nov. 12, 2011 versus East Carolina (254).
- The 372 yards were the fewest given up by UTEP in a loss since Oct. 30, 2010 at Marshall (313 allowed in a 16-12 defeat).
