Windy Weather on Monday
A series of upper level storms will bring windy periods to the Borderland. As we transition to the warmer drier months of Spring, expect wind storms to replace our rain/snow storms that we have seen all winter long. Undoubtedly with a still moderate to strong El Niño in place our stormy weather pattern won't end just yet. With that said, this is one of the driest times of the year climatologically. Wind becomes the biggest issue in the Borderland from now through about the end of May. This week we'll see evidence of this pattern, with three wind makers during the week. The first storm brought wind gusts near 54 miles per hour today at the El Paso International Airport. Wind storm number two rolls in late tomorrow into early Wednesday. Storm three, currently off the Pacific coast, moves in for Thursday.
