Two Year Probe Led Agents to Arrest Five Including Club Owners
EL PASO — They'd been watching it for for almost two years, a place called the Rock Inn on Dyer . El Paso Police ..along with the FBI and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission...were convinced the club was selling large amounts of cocaine right at the bar. They now report that on August 27th they made their move, arresting at least one employee inside the Rock Inn, and then handuffing the club's owner, Myong Suk Kim, and her husband Bruce Rankhorn at their home.
While taking pictures today we got a surprise visit from a man who looked like he had a special interest in the case. When he asked if he could help this reporter, we offered him the TABC release... detailing the arrests of the couple who run the Rock Inn.
He acknowledged that he is the suspect Bruce Rankhorn, but said the press release and details of the recent drug action are incorrect. He denied that agents had collected drugs, money, weapons, and drug paraphernalia at his wife's home.
Rankhorn then did confirm that agents arrested him on charges of delivering cocaine, but vowed his lawyer would correct the situation. Then he drove around to the back of the club, saying that publicity like this can ruin a good business
