EL PASO — A 4th grade teacher at Hughey elementary school has been reassigned following a controversial class project assigned on 9-11.
The teacher asked students to draw the terrorist attacks that took place on 9-11 and allegedly told the kids to draw the boom clouds, the planes hitting the towers, and people jumping out of windows. She also allegedly told students that Afghans hate Americans.
This is one of the drawings that was turned in.
Parents expressed concerns about the project that prompted an investigation. EPISD officials now tell us the teacher has been reassigned -- but are not releasing her name or exactly where she has been reassigned.
