EL PASO — The Socorro Women, Infants and Children office on North Loop was closed due to a consolidation of services, according to officials from the City of El Paso Department of Public Health.
They said the 4,400 WIC participants from the Socorro location will be served at the surrounding WIC sites.

· Ysleta WIC at 110 Candelaria Street in El Paso
· San Elizario WIC at 12004 Socorro Road in San Elizario
· North Loop WIC at 8010 North Loop Drive in El Paso
WIC is a Special Supplemental Nutrition Program which helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well, learn about nutrition, promote breastfeeding as the gold standard of infant feeding and support a healthy lifestyle. WIC provides nutrition education and counseling, access to health care and nutritious foods to low-income women, infants, and children.
