EL PASO - Dozens of El Pasoans put aside their Saturday morning to help paint the homes of elderly and disabled residents in El Paso.
The 26th Annual Project BRAVO Paint-a-thon is a community service-oriented event is held each year to provide a lending hand to homeowners who are physically or financially unable to beautify their homes.
This year's makeover homes are located on 233 Colfax, 234 Cargill and 1013 Le Barron.
Project Bravo volunteer Roy Ortega said, "we recognized that this is an important cause and we make every effort every year to try and get as many people together to come help out."
Volunteer teams from Amerigroup, Junior League of El Paso, GECU, White Sands Federal Credit Union, Delphi, Upper Valley Lions Club, the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo and numerous high school students were some of the volunteers painting homes throughout El Paso County.
