EL PASO — Police were investigating a serious wreck near Socorro that sent 14 people to hospitals.
Police said the driver of a Nissan Altima lost control of the car on Alameda near Loop 375 just before 11 p.m. Friday.
The Altima veered into oncoming traffic, causing a chain reaction involving four vehicles.
Three of the 14 people were in serious condition.
Police said everyone was wearing their seat belts and alcohol does not appear to be a contributing factor.
