Our troubleshooters team gets results for a homeowner who says a contractor bailed on a job. Mike Cordero is upset because his parents hired Fuenco Construction more than 3 months ago to build an addition on their home and he says they were left "high and dry" and the bill wasn't cheap. "The contract called for $41,000, they've given him $31,000, the checks have been cashed already," Cordero said. According to the contract, Fuenco Construction has until the end this month to complete 3 rooms, a bathroom and stucco the outside. Israel: "Your parents gave him all this money and you are pretty much 3 fourths paid and how much work is done?" Cordero: "Well you know I would say a third and that's it. You know we still got two thirds left and I think we've paid more than what's been done." We spoke to the owner of Fuenco Construction, Juan Rodriguez. Israel: "Do you have a reason that you have stopped working there? Juan: "No we have just been busy...a little bit busy but I will take care of it. I'll give her a call." Rodriguez admitted he is behind schedule at the Cordero home but says there's still time left on the contract to finish the work.
