HORIZON CITY — Flu season is just around the corner, and that is why the City of El Paso Department of Public Health is offering immunizations for children.
Vaccines will be offered between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday at the McDonald's located at 1274 Horizon Blvd. in Horizon City
Additional vaccines will also be available.
The cost for one vaccine is $10, and it will cost $20 for two or more vaccines.
Payments will be accepted in the form of cash, check or by showing proof of Medicaid coverage.
Children up to 18 years old are eligible for the vaccines.
In order to be eligible to receive immunizations at the Department of Public Health Clinics, children must meet the following requirements:
- Must be Medicaid eligible
- Uninsured: a child who has no health insurance coverage
- American Indian or Alaskan Native
- Enrolled in CHIP
Underinsured - A child who has private health insurance, but coverage does not include vaccines.
