Both universities will collect blood donations from students, staff, faculty, alumni and community members in the annual eye ten coalition blood drive.
The drive kicks off Sept. 10th and runs until Sept. 14th.
Last year the drive collected 1,300 pints of blood.
This year their goal is to rise one hundred more pints.
Blood services will announce the total number of pints collected at the NMSU vs. UTEP football game Saturday, Sept. 15th at the Sun Bowl.
