El Paso, TX — The New Mexico Department of Health is recommending people start making appointments to get vaccinated against the flu.
While flu season in New Mexico typically starts in the winter, getting a flu vaccination now will help people build immunity.
The department of health and the centers for disease control and prevention urges everyone older than six months old to get their flu vaccine to prevent spread of the disease.
