EL PASO — El Paso shoppers filled the malls and stores this weekend hoping to save some money on the tax-free holiday weekend in Texas.
It's estimated they will save nearly $65 million in state and local taxes.
"With four kids we're taking advantage," said Eva Ramirez. "It's not a big savings, but it's still saves money so it's good."
Both Sunland Park and Cielo Vista Mall have extended their hours to accommodate more shoppers.
Downtown parking meter fees have been waived for the weekend.
