EL PASO — Eighteen parks in El Paso will be getting new playground equipment after City Council approved the proposal on Tuesday.
The contract will be awarded to three different companies to build the new equipment, costing the city just over $735 thousand.
City Council also passed a Department of State Health Services contract for $2.8 million, allowing the city to provide certain health services like such as community preparedness and prevention, tuberculosis prevention and control, HIV surveillance, public health emergency preparedness and infectious disease control.
