The Dallas Cowboys started the 2012 NFL Season with a dud, a 3-0 win in Oakland, California. Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo played three series surprisingly into the 2nd quarter, going 3-6 for 30 yards. Scoring was at a premium in this game, in fact, the only points in the first three quarters came from Dallas kicker Dan Bailey, a 33-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead. Cowboy running backs Felix Jones and DeMarco Murray had a combined four carries for four yards.
The Raiders were led by Matt Leinart who was 11-16 for 98 yards. Carson Palmer was 3-6 for 33 yards, but was intercepted by Dallas safety Gerald Sensabaugh. Terrell Pryor was attempting a game winning drive for the Raiders, but his desperation pass was intercepted by Mana Silva.
Next up, Dallas will play at San Diego on Saturday, August 18.
