The Miners held their first full day of training Wednesday at Camp Socorro in New Mexico and as expected the coaches saw rust on the players and challenged them to get better.
"It was ok. We added some new plays and confused some guys a little. The intensity is good. We just need to make sure we keep getting a little better every day. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. So we have to just keep getting a little bit better. And we can practice better than we did today," said Head Coach Mike Price.
UTEP will be at Camp Socorro for the next 7 days before returning to El Paso and preparing for their season opener September 1st against Oklahoma.
