EL PASO — Three individuals in El Paso's ongoing public-corruption scandal plead guilty Wednesday afternoon in federal court in front of Judge Frank Montalvo.
Luther Jones, Frank Apodaca and Larry Medina all plead guilty for their parts in the probe.
Larry medina is a former county commissioner and city representative.
Luther Jones is an attorney who used is political influence to sway board members to vote for Access Health Source.
Frank Apodaca is the president and CEO of Access Health Source.
FBI El Paso Special Agent in Charge Mark Morgan weighed in on the case with the following statement:
“Today’s additional guilty pleas serve as an important reminder that the FBI will remain vigilant in pursuing individuals who abuse their position of responsibility. All members of the public, be it businessmen or government officials, have a duty to place the welfare of the citizenry ahead of their own personal gain.”
