El Paso, TX — The popular show Tengo Talento Mucho Talento teamed up with Viva Dodge and KTSM today, for an open casting call.
"Its really exciting to see these young up and coming local artists show off their talents. It's really exciting to be part of this dream for them," said Norma Dodge with Viva Dodge.
Munoz says most of the participants range in age from 25 to 54 years old, with a variety of talents.
"We're seeing from ballads to rock, we just saw some rappers out there so we really do have a lot of talent here in the sun city," said Munoz.
Pauline Lozano, a choir singer for years, competed in today's event.
" I love to sing, I love music. Anything that has to do with music is my life," said Lozano.
Recently she started singing at gigs around town.
"Now I've been doing this more, singing at restaurants with my friend, also and she was the one that told me you gotta do it so I said ok I'll do it just for you,” said Lozano.
Minerva Anchondo, a Mexican country singer for the past 15 years, also competed.
"This is my music and I love my Mexican country music," said Anchondo.
All of the participants are hoping for a chance to win the talent competition.
"I want to make my career very, I don't know I wanna be famous," said Anchondo.
Munoz was excited to see so many talented people.
"I've already had my jaw drop twice. Again, we have a lot of talent here in the sun city and it's just really exciting to be able to provide our dealership for these people to come over here and try to make their dreams come true," said Munoz.
Viva Dodge says that more than 100 people competed in today's event that started at 10am and went on until 5pm.
