EL PASO - For the fifth year in a row, children were able to show off their creative sides by "going green".
The City of El Paso's Parks and Recreation dept. puts on a recycled arts show every year to teach children what to recycle and why it's good for the environment.
Tables with original art and a fashion show are the main attractions of the event.
The event's not just for the kids either, say Parks and Rec reps.
"As we grow up, we sometimes forget that if you start early, you can learn early to take care of the earth and environment. You think green, you take care of the earth. We live here, its our planet," said Brenda Romero, a department rep.
The event is free to the public.
