Ford is recalling 11,500 2013 Escape SUVs due to a fuel line problem and its warning its customers to stop driving their new Escapes immediately. Ford says the fuel lines can crack and spill gasoline, which could cause the engine to catch fire. The recall only pertains to the models with the 1.6 liter four cylinder engine built from early April through July 11th of this year. Ford says approximately 4,800 of the affected vehicles have been sold, the rest are sitting on dealership lots. The company says there have been three reports of fires, two at a factory and one while a customer was driving. If you own a 2013 Ford Escape, contact your call dealer.
