EL PASO, TX — Kids who play more than one sport are less likely to be overweight or obese. Researchers surveyed nearly 2,000 teens on their sports participation, other forms of physical activity, and their weight.
They found those who played on three or more sports teams were close to 30% less likely to be overweight and 40% less likely to be obese. That's compared to teens who didn't play sports.
