CANUTILLO, TX — The Burritos and Carnitas Yoni Restaurant was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday evening, according to Sherrif's Deputies.
According to the report, a Hispanic male made way with $600 cash and fled the scene in a Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle was last seen turning onto Talbot Rd., Canutillo, TX, and possibly headed towards IH-10.
The suspect was described as being 19, or in his 20’s, year old Hispanic male having a Spiky/Mohawk hair style and was last seen wearing a dark blue or grey “Aeropostale” T-shirt with dark letters, blue jeans, and black and/or blue Lacoste type shoes. The weapon was described as a brown/black in color possible semi-automatic handgun.
Sheriff’s Deputies were also told the suspect was recognized as having entered the store one hour prior to the robbery and was accompanied by another male subject at the time. The second subject was described as a Hispanic male with blonde hair, also with a Spiky/Mohawk hairstyle, light complexion, wearing a dark colored shirt, blue jeans and dark in color shoes (possible boots), and had big round sun glasses.
