Free-Agent point guard Steve Nash is heading to the Los Angeles Lakers as part of a sign and trade deal with the Phoenix Suns.
Nash will get a 3-year deal worth more than 25 million dollars and that the Lakers can absorb the point guard via the trade exception they created when they sent Lamar Odom to Dallas last December.
The deal can't be completed until July 11th when a league wide blackout on new business deals is lifted. The Suns will reportedly get a package of future draft picks in exchange.
The deal will allow Nash to remain close to his three children who live in Phoenix. The 38-year-old led the league in assists last year and is a career 90 percent free throw shooter.
