EL PASO- Summer is almost here... a time of fun and celebration, sometimes that means a little drinking and all too often there's driving involved.
TXDOT is bringing awareness to this summertime problem by starting a campaign that will encourage everyone not only to use alcohol responsibly, but to find a designated driver to make sure everyone gets home safe.
The program is called, P.A.S.S. or Person Appointed to Stay Sober. TXDOT is hoping that everyone will get a summer P.A.S.S. In TXDOT's own words, "It's not cool to drink and drive even in the summer heat, be safe, plan ahead and designate a P.A.S.S."
If you would like to have a demonstration with the "drunk goggles" please call TXDOT's Traffic Safety Specialist, Monica O'Kane: 915-790-4384.
