New Resolution To Be Voted On Today
The Juarez Resolution will be up for discussion at City Council again today, only this time without any mention of discussing legalizing drugs.
Councilman Beto O'Rourke added the item on January 6th before the resolution was unanimously approved by city council, but Mayor Cook vetoed it later that evening. The following week, council members upheld the veto by a four to four vote; six votes were needed to override it. Today, city council is expected to pass the newest version of the resolution.
