EL PASO - El Paso is under a critical water conservation period.
El Paso Water Utilities (EPWU) said there's almost no water in the Rio Grande; the utility has also had to shut down treatment of river water at two of its plants.
EPWU is urging all residents to take shorter showers; fix any leaks in your homes or businesses; and to only run appliances like dishwashers when there's a full load.
If El Pasoans do not conserve water in the next two weeks, we'll face mandatory restrictions.
