EL PASO, TX — Hundreds of people packed the Don Haskins Center for UTEP commencement ceremonies.
UTEP held three ceremonies on Saturday.
Graduates said it had been a long road and they are proud of themselves for making it.
"It feels like a weight's been lifted off my shoulder's. I've been behind my wife. She has her bachelor's and master's in education so it feels good to graduate," said graduate Julio Cano.
"I'm very excited and looking forward to finding a job as a teacher,” said graduate Christina Cuellar. “It was long and hard but I did it with the help of my family."
Nearly 2,500 UTEP seniors graduated.
