EL PASO — A man reacted to the no-sale of liqour at a night club by driving his truck into electrical poles and other vehicles within the club's parking lot, police said.
Around 4:30 am Monday, police arrived to the “Darlington Hideway Club“ in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, deputies were told the Gilbert Duran, 34, had become enraged while inside the night club, after he was told by management the club did not sell liquor. Duran was then escorted out of the night club by management due to his intoxicated demeanor as he began to yell obscenities inside the club.
Duran entered his 1996 Dodge Ram and drove head on into some electrical wooden poles which were used to protect the building and also served as a parking barrier. He also collided his pickup truck into several vehicles causing an estimated amount of $10,000 in damages, according to police. Duran was charged with DWI and Criminal Mischief.
