EL PASO - An eyesore in Manhattan Heights, finally transformed into a neighborhood pocket park.
El Paso City Representative Susie Byrd hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the newly completed Portland Street Pocket Park.
In 2004, voters approved $2 million to be used for enhancement projects.
Residents and the Manhattan Neighborhood Association worked to turn the vacant and abandoned street into something usable by the community.
