EL PASO — The deadline to pay outstanding hot checks in El Paso County, and avoid being arrested in an upcoming warrant roundup, is Friday at 5:00p.m.
The amnesty period for hot checks started in March, and was followed by a published list of the names and addresses of more than 2,700 people who have outstanding hot check warrants. According to El Paso County Attorney Jo Anne Bernal, local businesses are owed more than $2.1 million in hot checks.
Payments will be accepted at the following locations:
