EL PASO — A U.S. Border Patrol agent from El Paso, and his girlfriend, will also be back in court on Friday.
Border Agent Ricardo Montalvo, and Carla Gonzales-Ortiz are accused of buying weapons and ammunition that they reportedly intended to sell in Mexico.
They were arrested on Tuesday on charges of conspiracy, firearms and smuggling.
During their arraignment hearing on Friday, a U.S. Magistrate judge will decide if the couple will be released on bond.
