Earlier in the week it looked like the clock had been turned back and Fred Couples might end up with the second green jacket of his career. It looked like a possibility that Lefty, Phil Mickelson, could be taking home his 4th green jacket. But when the dust settled, it was Bubba Watson who took home the 2012 Masters title.
Watson wins his first green jacket in one of the more memorable finishes in the 76-year history of the Masters Tournament.
Watson, on the second hole of his playoff with Louis Oosthuizen, hits his tee shot into the woods.
With trees on either side of him, Watson curled a magnificent second shot onto the green, just feet from the hole -- a shot that won Watson his first major.
It has been a big year for Watson, as the 33-year old became a first-time father as well; Watson and his wife Angie adopted a little baby boy named Caleb a little more than a week ago.
