EL PASO — Police are investigating an overnight wreck after a driver crashed his car head-on into a light pole.
According to police, the driver of a Dodge Charger was speeding when he lost control on Gateway East and Corral Dr. at about 2:00 a.m. Thursday.
The driver's legs were pinned under the front end of the car and firefighters had to use the jaws of life to pull him to safety.
The victim was rushed to Del Sol Medical Center with serious injuries.
The scene of the crash has since been cleared.
