EL PASO — Many volunteers in The Borderland are on stand-by Wednesday night, waiting to go to Dallas, to assist with the relief effort there.
The El Paso Red Cross says they loaded supplies onto emergency vehicles as soon as they heard about the destructive tornado.
Although The El Paso Red Cross is not headed to the Dallas area right now, they could still be sent out at any time.
If volunteers from The Borderland do go to the areas hardest hit by the tornado, they will help assess damage and provide supplies to victims who lost their home.
The Red Cross also says their volunteers provide something money can't buy; emotional support.
If you would like to donate to The Red Cross for tornado victims, you can call The El Paso Red Cross at 915-592-0208 or log onto www.RedCross.org .
