Texans have the opportunity to win big by participating in the drawing for Tuesday night’s estimated $363 million Mega Millions® jackpot. If one ticket matches all six numbers in Tuesday’s drawing, the holder of that ticket can choose between receiving the full jackpot amount in 26 annual payments, or a one-time cash payment of $259.8 million.
“That’s an awful lot of money, no matter how you choose—all at once or over the next 26 years,” said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery. “Texas hasn’t had a Mega Millions jackpot winner since 2010, so I think we’re past due for a big winner.”
FACTS ABOUT THIS JACKPOT:
• Features the third largest jackpot in Mega Millions history
• The highest cash value option jackpot in U.S. lottery history ($259.8 million)
• Ties for fourth largest jackpot for any lottery game in U.S. history (estimated $363 million)
