EL PASO — Police are investigating an overnight convenience store robbery in Northeast El Paso, and investigators believe the suspect is the same man involved in a triple robbery a few months ago..
According to police, the suspect entered the 7-11 store on Dyer and Hercules at about midnight Friday and purchased cigarettes. He reportedly returned to the store about an hour later and threatened the clerk. The suspect said he had a gun and allegedly demanded cash from the register. Police said the suspect never actually displayed the weapon. The robber got away with about $14 in cash.
Investigators believe the suspect involved is the same man who robbed three different 7-11 stores in February. In the triple robbery, the suspect threatened the clerks at the 7-11 on McCombs and Sun Valley, then made his way to the 7-11 store on Fairbanks and Rushing and also the 7-11 on Hondo Pass and Dyer.
Police describe the man as a Hispanic man with a light brown complexion. He was reportedly wearing a black hoodie and a beanie.
