EL PASO - A cold snap hit the Sun City Friday night, leaving El Pasoans unprepared for the colder temperatures.
El Pasoans said the weather can change from sunny and warm, to windy and cold in an instant.
"I'm not prepared at all," said Andrea Guzman as she shivered outside a West El Paso Walgreens. "I wasn't expecting it to be this cold, so I'm not dressed for it."
The same can be said for other El Pasoans. Shoppers were still wearing short sleeves as they rushed inside, while others bundled up before leaving the house.
For those working outdoors throughout the night, they know it's essential to keep warm. A police officer keeping an eye on the Cincinnati Street area was well prepared for the cold with earmuffs and a heavy jacket.
For El Pasoan Mike Bejarano, he's learned how to adapt to the sudden change in weather.
"It doesn't phase me anymore, it doesn't surprise me," Bejarano said. "It could snow in July and it's just another day in El Paso."
