After a rather quiet week in the Borderland, more active weather may head our way. I stress the "may" part because the various computer model indicators are all over the board with this next storm. You can see the storm gathering strength over the Pacific Ocean now. Here is a general timeline of what we think may occur between now and next week.
- Sunny and warm today with clouds increasing on Saturday.
- More wind into Saturday and Sunday both as a weak storm system slides our way for the weekend. Mountain rain and snow possible Saturday into Sunday, with a few sprinkles possible Saturday evening.
- Weather is dry late Sunday through Monday afternoon. Another storm moves in late Monday into Tuesday, with clouds, more wind, and cooler temperatures. Scattered rain possible through that period.
Drying and warming conditions on Wednesday and Thursday.
Now, changes to the forecast are possible. The computer model runs have changed literally every 6 to 12 hours. Stay tuned to Newschannel 9 for the latest. Chuck & Russ will give updates this weekend, while I'll be back Monday morning with the latest. Otherwise, enjoy the nice weekend ahead!
