EL PASO — A retired British businessman who is accused of plotting to sell missile components to Iran is expected to make his first appearance in El Paso Federal Court on Monday.
Christopher Tappin was extradited from England and arrived in El Paso on Friday.
He is expected to make his first court appearance Monday morning on charges that he offered to sell batteries for Iranian missiles to undercover U.S. agents six years ago.
Tappin faces up to 35 years in jail if he is convicted.
