EL PASO - People used to ride them just for recreation but with gas becoming more expensive, more people are considering motorcycles to save some cash at the pump.
That's what makes the El Paso Police Department's and Edge Kawasaki's free motorcycle safety course even more important. They offer it every third Saturday of the month. The class does not help potential riders get a state license, but it's still popular and it can keep you safe.
"They cover breaking, how to steer, how to control the motorcycle with your body," Ivan Acosta said. "It's important to take, because you can never have to much knowledge on how to ride a motorcycle and what to do."
