The Big 12 Conference has released its 2012 football schedule as approved by the league's Directors of Athletics. The 2012 slate includes Big 12 newcomers TCU and West Virginia, and features a 10-team, nine-game, round-robin schedule.
Dates are subject to change as adjustments are expected to accommodate television partners' requests. Television selections for the first three weeks of the season and special dates are due to the Conference by July 1.
Big 12 newcomer TCU is scheduled to play the first conference game of the 2012 season with a Sept. 15 visit to Kansas.
West Virginia will play its first Big 12 game Sept. 29 at home against Baylor. TCU and West Virginia replace Texas A&M and Missouri, who are leaving for the SEC.
Texas opens the Big 12 conference at Oklahoma State on September 29th. Oklahoma and Texas will renew the Red River Rivalry Oct. 13 at Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas.
