A popular comedian is the guest of honor at a luncheon held by a non-profit organization. Gabriel Iglesias is taking part in a luncheon at the DoubleTree Hotel in Downtown El Paso sponsored by Operation HOPE. HOPE stands for "helping other people endure".
The comedian will be given the key to the city, along with Operation Hope's Beacon of Hope Award and a congressional award on behalf of Congressman Silvestre Reyes. Iglesias is being honored for his involvement in community projects. Event organizers are looking forward to whatever the comedian may have in store. "He's a comedian at heart so even just hanging around him, he always makes you laugh. He always makes it an enjoyable time," said Rubi Gomez. "Hopefully he might do a little skit for us. We'll just have to wait and see."
Although the luncheon at the DoubleTree is sold out you can catch Gabriel Iglesias when he performs tomorrow (Friday) night at the Don Haskins Center. The performance is at 8:00 p.m. For ticket information, visit ticketmaster.com
