EL PASO - A stabbing investigation has led police to arrest Manuel Gomez, 20, and Ezequiel Ochoa, 17, for their alleged stabbing attack against 34-year-old Ricardo Cereces in northeast El Paso Sunday evening. Both are being charged with engaging in organized criminal activity with attempted murder.
During the assault, Cereces was stabbed multiple times outside an apartment around 9:30 p.m. He was transported to University Medical Center by ambulance where he is listed in stable condition.
The El Paso Police Department's Gang Investigations Unit was able to identify Gomez and Ochoa as the ones responsible for the alleged stabbing. Both were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on Monday.
